Call for Recent Results

Call for Recent Results

The IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory (ISIT 2027) invites submissions to the Recent Results Session.

The session provides an opportunity to present and discuss recent research developments in information theory and related areas. We particularly welcome timely results that have emerged or that would benefit from rapid dissemination and direct interaction with the ISIT community.

Submissions may address any topic within the scope of ISIT 2027, including theoretical, methodological, and applied contributions.

Submission Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit a one-page abstract describing their recent results. The abstract should clearly state:

  • the problem being considered;
  • the main contribution or result;
  • the novelty and significance of the work; and
  • the relevance of the contribution to the ISIT community.

Submissions must be made through the following online form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdrfqWOFSuA939LU6d6Fm__kKwuPnNCFuDKBy7YKxeGq769Hw/viewform?usp=header

The submission form will request the following information:

  • title of the contribution;
  • names and affiliations of all authors;
  • email address of the corresponding author;
  • name of the proposed presenter;
  • selected topic area; and
  • a one-page abstract in PDF format.

The abstract should contain no more than 2,500 characters of text, including spaces; the character limit applies to the abstract text only and excludes the title, author names, affiliations, and references. No specific document template is required. Authors should ensure that the abstract is clear, self-contained, and sufficiently detailed to permit an assessment of the contribution. The title, author list, author order, and affiliations entered in the submission form must match the information appearing in the uploaded abstract.

Selection Process

Submissions will be evaluated by the ISIT 2027 Recent Results Co-Chairs. Selection will be based on:

  • technical quality;
  • novelty and significance of the contribution;
  • timeliness of the results;
  • clarity of the abstract;
  • relevance to information theory and the ISIT community;
  • suitability for presentation and discussion; and
  • the number of contributions that can be accommodated.

The evaluation of Recent Results submissions does not constitute a formal peer-review process. The corresponding author will be notified of the decision by email.
